Steel Update for the Cowan Recreation Centre

All steel has now been erected for the gym at the Cowan Recreation Centre in Kitchener, another major milestone in bringing this landmark facility to life.

It’s incredible to reflect on what the Integrated Project Delivery team has achieved since beginning the Validation phase just two years ago. Ground was broken in May 2024, and construction is now well underway on the 222,000-square-foot complex — set to become one of the largest indoor recreation centres in Canada when it opens in late 2026.

We’re proud to be leading the architectural vision for this transformative project, helping shape a lasting hub for community, sport, and connection.
