Unity Design Studio inc. ("Unity", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

Information you give us

  • Contact form: your name, email address, phone number, organization, and the contents of your message.

  • Email signup: your name and email address.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, we and our service providers may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, pages viewed, and time spent on the site. See Cookies and Analytics below.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information through this site. Please do not include it in your message.

How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to your enquiries and project requests submitted through the contact form.

  • To send our newsletter, studio updates, and project news, if you have subscribed.

  • To operate, secure, and improve the website and understand how it is used.

  • To meet legal or regulatory obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

Consent

We collect, use, and disclose your personal information with your consent. Submitting the contact form means you consent to us using your information to respond to you.

Subscribing to our email list means you expressly consent to receive commercial electronic messages from us. You can withdraw this consent at any time (see Email Communications). Withdrawing consent may limit our ability to respond to you or provide certain services.

Email Communications

Emails we send you include our identity and contact information and an unsubscribe mechanism. To unsubscribe, use the link at the bottom of any email or contact us at info@unitydesignstudio.ca. We will process unsubscribe requests promptly and no later than 10 business days.

We will not add you to our email list without your consent. Sending us a contact form enquiry does not subscribe you to our newsletter.

Sharing Your Information

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the site and our communications, and only as needed for those services. These currently include:

  • Squarespace

  • Mailchimp

  • Google Analytics

These providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to courts, law enforcement, and other authorities under local laws. We require our providers to protect your information appropriately.

We may also disclose personal information where required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

Cookies and Analytics

This site uses cookies and similar technologies to function properly and to understand how visitors use it. Google Analytics and Squarespace collect aggregated usage data such as pages visited and general location. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works.

How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. Contact form enquiries are kept for 5 years after our last correspondence. Email list information is kept until you unsubscribe. After that, we delete or anonymize it.

How We Protect Your Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal information from loss, theft, and unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
