Annual Dragon Boat Festival!

This past Saturday, for the fourth year in a row, Unity returned to the water for the Peterborough Dragon Boat Festival — this time with our friends at Engage Engineering paddling alongside us.

While we often collaborate on projects, this weekend we teamed up for something different: raising funds for breast cancer screening, diagnosis, and treatment at Peterborough Regional Health Centre. Together we raised $4,688.80, contributing to the festival’s incredible $330,074.94, helping ensure patients and families across our region continue to receive the care they need.

We also raced hard — placing first in our heat (our strong finish is on full display in the video) and taking third in our division overall.

More than anything, we were proud to be part of a powerful community tradition. One that turns teamwork and celebration into real support for local healthcare. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated, cheered from the shore, or helped make this event possible. And to the Festival organizers and volunteers: your energy and dedication keep this tradition thriving.
