Our Core Values:

We require an Intermediate Design Technologist with good Revit experience and strong BIM skills who can coordinate with consultants and produce accurate drawing packages and details. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator who can assist in supporting early career technologists and be an integral and accountable member of a project team.

Who You Are:

Projects

  • Working in teams, assist and provide guidance in the coordination, implementation, execution, quality control and completion of projects, ensuring consistency with design intent, studio strategy, commitments and goals;

  • assist and provide guidance in the creative development of a project from inception through to detail design and review of consultants’ and contractors’ work;

  • develop projects in Building Information Modelling (BIM); and

  • coordinate and work with project team members collaboratively to maintain project schedule, workflow and quality.

Quality Assurance / Quality Control

  • Provide modelling / drawing assistance in the quality assurance / quality control process thorough all project phases;

  • be accountable and take personal responsibility for your work; and

  • promote best practices through continuing education and integrating lessons learned.

Studio and Culture

  • Provide support to new technologists and co-op students;

  • support and help foster the studio culture, goals, and strategic plan;

  • coordinate and work collaboratively;

  • assist the Principals in building and maintaining strong relationship with clients and consultants; and

  • assist in the day-to-day operation of the Studio.

Key Skills / Experience:

  • Diploma from an accredited Architectural Technologist Program, or equivalent.

  • Licensed Technologist with the OAA.

  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.

  • Relevant experience using Revit, BIM, and collaboration software in the workforce.

  • Excellent oral & written communication skills.

  • Strong knowledge of Canadian/Ontario building code and standards, building science, and construction details.

  • Strong work ethic, team player, and pro-active attitude.

  • Highly organized and detail oriented.

What you can expect during the process

  • 2 initial pre-screen questions via email.

  • 1st interview with the Administrative Principal and the Director, BIM.

  • All applicants will be notified of whether they will advance.

  • Exercise to prepare in advance of the 2nd interview.

  • 2nd interview with all Principals of Unity.

  • Decision and offer within 2 weeks of commencing the interview process.
